Pregnancy week 10

This week your baby is about the size of strawberry — around 3.1 cm and 4 g.

Your baby this week

Your baby is now about the size of a strawberry and has officially become a fetus, with most of the essential organs formed. Fingers and toes are clearly separating, and tiny tooth buds are forming inside the gums. Your baby is moving freely in the womb, though you can't feel it yet. Those little facial features keep becoming more defined week by week.

Your body this week

You may notice a little bloating, mood swings, and ongoing nausea and fatigue. Some women see an increase in normal vaginal discharge or feel mild aches on the sides of the belly as the uterus stretches. Remember these symptoms are usually temporary and often start to ease as the second trimester approaches.

Tips for this week

Choose comfortable, slightly loose clothing to ease pressure on your changing belly. Try adding iron- and protein-rich foods to your meals to support your energy. And it's absolutely okay to lean on your partner or family when you feel emotionally worn out.
